The YMCA of Selma-Dallas County is open!

Beginning Monday, August 3rd, temporary hours of operation are Monday-Friday 5:00am-7:00pm.

Precautionary sanitation measures have been implemented for the safety of our Staff & Members

Group Ex Classes have resumed, but will be limited. See Group Ex Schedule for updated times.

ALL programs and community events have been postponed until further notice.

Basketball Gym will reopen Monday, June 22nd for Individual Drill Sessions.

We encourage Members to wear a face mask while visiting the facility. However, we do not require you to wear one while working out.

Showers will be available for members to use beginning Monday, August 3rd.
A MESSAGE TO OUR MEMBERS
WE ARE BACK!
We have missed our members, and are excited to welcome you all back! Although we are not able to re-open at 100% capacity, we are able to accommodate our members by implementing a few precautionary safety measures. Take a look below of what to expect.
WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT...
We will be reopening in phases to keep our members safe and adhere to guidelines from the CDC and state governments. You will notice some changes and increased signage in our facilities.
Phase I reopening changes include:
TEMPORARY HOURS OF OPERATION

Monday-Friday 5:00am-7:00pm

Saturday-Sunday CLOSED
SAFE SOCIAL DISTANCING
Upon entering the facility, staff and members will be:

Have their temperature taken with contactless readings
-
Be asked if they have experienced any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath.

Sign our Member Letter of Acknowledgment (simply stating you understand the risk of returning to the Y)

Expected to adhere to ALL Facility, CDC, and State and City precautionary measures.
GROUP FITNESS & WATER AEROBICS

Group Ex Classes will resume, following our updated schedule. Click here for updates to our Exercise Schedules.

Water Aerobics Classes will resume as normal. (THE POOL IS UP AND RUNNING!!!)

ALL classes will make accommodations to adhere to safe social distancing practices. Some classes will be moved to the gym for more space.
SANITATION AND CLEANLINESS

Sanitation station will be available throughout the facility for members and staff to utilize. Members are encouraged to use these stations.

Sanitation wipes/products will be available for members to use in the fitness area(s).

The Y staff will wipe down surfaces and equipment periodically during the day (every 30min.)
MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO

Bring their personal water bottle, towel, face mask, and gym equipment (yoga mats & blocks, jump ropes, bands, etc.) [all water fountains will be turned off, however we will have drinks for sale]

Bring a personal hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.

Avoid using the facility if you experience any symptoms of sickness or illness.
WHAT WILL NOT BE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE
Although we wish we could reopen at 100% capacity, we must take the necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of our staff and members. Take a look at what will NOT be available:

Equipment rentals (yoga mats & blocks, jump ropes, weighted vest, basketballs, etc.) will be suspended until further notice.

Towel service will be suspended until further notice.

Locker Room usage will be limited; Showers will be available beginning Monday, August 3rd.

ChildWatch Center – CLOSED until further notice

Teen Room – CLOSED until further notice
